About the Station
The Cochrane MRT Station, the Mass Rapid Transit station located at
Jalan Cochrane, nestled within Bulatan Pandan and Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur.
The station has been built based on
Island Platform architecture.
An underpass is has been built from the MRT station to the lower ground
floor of MyTown Shopping Centre where IKEA Cheras located.

Entrances and Exit
The station has two entrances. Entrance A is located at Cochrane Road, and
Entrance B is located at Shelley Road. There is also an entrance at the
upper concourse level in between two entrances which is under the glass
pyramid which links to MyTown Shopping Centre and IKEA Cheras. There is a
pedestrian overhead bridge which leads to Sunway Velocity Mall is accessible
via Entrance B. The feeder bus serves at the feeder bus hub located at
Entrance A.

Cochrane
Jalan Cochrane, nestled within Bulatan Pandan and Jalan Peel, Kuala
Lumpur. It is an underdeveloped area in Kuala Lumpur. It was named after the
British General Advisor of Johor, Charles Walter Hamilton Cochrane, British
Resident of Perak, (1929–1930). There are many government quarters in this
area, which were built before World War II. Relocation of the quarters are
in progress in order to give way to '10th Malaysia Plan' development
project.
The IKEA furniture store and MyTown Shopping Mall are in its vicinity.
SMK Cochrane (formerly known as SMK Jalan Cochrane or Cochrane Road School)
is a secondary school in area.
Jalan Cochrane is within 5 minutes drive to Bukit Bintang area and high rise
offices Wisma Time, Menara AA, Wisma Technip and RHB Bank Head Office. The
supermarket NSK Trade City (Jalan Peel) and Sunway Velocity Mall is another
nearest shopping mall within its vicinity.
