Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT Station
About the Station
Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT Station is a Malaysian interchange station located
next to and named after Bandar Tasik Selatan, in Kuala Lumpur, the capital
city of Malaysia. The station serves as both a stop and interchange for
KTM Komuter, Sri
Petaling Line, and the Express Rail Link's
KLIA Transit &
KLIA Ekspres trains, and RapidKL
buses.
The station is accessible via Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) from
the southeast, and, indirectly, the Sungai Besi Expressway from the west.
The Bandar Tasik Selatan interchange is effectively an inter modal
transportation hub.
Rather than consisting of a single integrated hub, the Bandar Tasik Selatan
interchange is made out of three different stations laid side-by-side and
added over the course of seven years, with overhead bridges connecting all
three stations and ticketing areas of each train service separated from each
other. Despite its importance as a transportation hub, two out of the three
stops in the interchange do not accommodate disabled passengers.
Integrated Transport Terminal
Under the 9th Malaysia Plan, Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT Station has
transformed into a transportation hub to cater for express buses from the
South bound. Bus operations to South bound from heavily congested Pudu
Sentral was transferred here. The integrated terminal (Terminal Bersepadu
Selatan, TBS), which cost RM570 million, is fully operational since 1st
January 2011.

Platform Architecture
The principal styling of the Station is similar to most other stations along
the Ampang
and Sri Petaling Lines,
featuring multi-tiered roofs supported by latticed frames, and white
plastered walls and pillars.
Accommodations & Hotels
There is a range of accommodations near Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT Station,
including budget hotels, serviced apartments, and homestays—ideal for travelers
needing easy access to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), the city’s main
long-distance bus terminal. With direct connections to KTM, LRT, and KLIA
Transit, it’s a strategic choice for airport transfers or traveling across
Malaysia. While quieter than downtown areas, the neighborhood offers local food
options, convenience stores, and solid public transport links, making it a
practical and well-connected base just outside central Kuala Lumpur.
