Kerinchi LRT Station
About the Station
Kerinchi LRT Station is an elevated rapid transit station in Kuala Lumpur, forming part of the Kelana Jaya Line. The Station was opened on
September 1, 1998, as part of the line's first segment encompassing 10
elevated stations between Kelana
Jaya Station and Pasar Seni Station
(excluding the KL Sentral Station opened later)
and the line's maintenance depot in Subang Valley.
The Kerinchi LRT Station, which is named after Kampung Kerinchi, a village
within walking distance, is located inside Plaza Pantai (officially being
redeveloped as Bangsar Trade Centre), a mixed commercial complex near Jalan
Pantai Baru.
This Station is within walking distance to the Sri Dasmesh International
School (SDIS), Sekolah Kebangsaan Bangsar, Menara Telekom (Telekom
Malaysia's headquarters) and the
Angkasapuri KTM Komuter Station.
The Kerinchi LRT Station's layout is somewhat different with other elevated
Kelana Jaya Line stations, it located inside the office bloc, Bangsar Trade
Centre
which is strategically visible along the Federal Highway in Kuala Lumpur
with the white and grey colour buildings. The Station is same level with
retail podium in the plaza and facilitated with TnG reload machine and ATMs
