Kajang KTM Railway Station
About The Station
The Kajang KTM Railway Station is a KTM Komuter train halt forms part of a
common KTM Komuter railway line in
Seremban Line. The Station was
exist as early as 1897 and was rebuilt on November 1995.
The Kajang KTM Komuter Station is situated 1 km south from Kajang's town centre
and named after the township of Kajang, Selangor.
The Station currently serves both the KTM Komuter and KTM Intercity train
services. Intercity services were already provided for the town since its
early years through the 20th century, while KTM Komuter services were only
introduced in the mid-1990s, when a new station adjoining Jalan Bukit was
completed on the east side of the tracks to replace the older station
adjoining Jalan Reko on the west side of the tracks.
The current Kajang Station inherits the original station's branch lines as
well as responsibilities to manage railway switches, railway monitoring and
goods delivery. As such, the Station supports a number of railway staff. The
Station is also connected to sheds for railway maintenance vehicles, as well
as a warehouse.
Interchange Station
The Kajang KTM Railway Station connecting to
Kajang MRT Station as
interchange station to MRT Kajang Line via a link bridge.
