Seremban KTM Railway Station
About The Station
The Seremban KTM Railway Station is a Malaysian railway station on the west end
of Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The Station was opened as early as 1910, it
was renovated and electrified on 1995 when KTM Komuter launched its service
to this Station.
The Station is named after Seremban, capital city of Negeri Sembilan. The
Station serves the North-South Line of the KTM Intercity train services, as
well as KTM Komuter train services introduced in 1995.
The Station contains three platforms connected by a link bridge. Because the
station serves as a terminal stop of the KTM Komuter commuter train service,
only one line is needed for the service, used as a final stop for its
southbound journey and the beginning of its northbound journey (like most
EMUs, the KTM Komuter rolling stock is capable of moving backwards or
forwards).
Komuter trains stop only at platform 1, a side platform directly adjoining
the station building. Platforms 2 and 3 are situated on an island platform
covered by a metal-framed and wooden shade, and serve Intercity train
services that travel in either direction.
The Seremban Station is the southern terminal station of the KTM Komuter's Seremban Line before it was extended to Sungai Gadut in May 2011.
Both the Senawang and
Sg Gadut
Stations are located along the 98km Seremban-Gemas rail route.
There are taxi stand and
bus stop in front of the Station. There is multi storey car park available next to the Station.
