Merdeka MRT Station situated in
proposed Warisan
Merdeka Tower, the tallest building in Malaysia. Warisan Merdeka Tower is
the proposed 118 storey skyscraper to build next to Stadium Merdeka in
Jalan Hang Jebat, Kuala Lumpur.
About Warisan Merdeka
A mega-scale project by PNB at the area nearby heritage places, Stadium
Merdeka and Stadium Negara, Warisan Merdeka Tower will become the new PNB
head office. The cost of the new tower has not been finalized and detailed
drawings are not yet available for public viewing and construction.
The initial design is ready
but yet to finalized and change still be applied to that, to increase its suitability to
be built in Malaysia, representing the nation as a developed nation in
near future.
Amenities and Facilities Around
When completed, Warisan Merdeka Tower will be the tallest building in
Malaysia and new landmark for Kuala Lumpur. Within the vicinity is Stadium
Merdeka, Stadium Negara, Chinese Primary School Jalan Davidson, Confucian
Private High School, Methodist Boys School, Victoria Institution,
Malaysian Basketball Association (MABA) and Grand Olympic Hotel. Petaling
Street (Chinatown) is also located few minutes walk from this station.
Hang Tuah LRT and
Monorail Station is within
walking distance to this MRT station.
