Station Layout
and Accessibility
The KL MRT station's layout and accessibility information has
not been made publicly available at the moment. The station
layout and accessibility described herewith is based on prior
feasibility study of KL MRT project owner to Hong Kong MTR, to
learn from Hong Kong's metro system operator, MTR Corporation,
on how to manage the system and merge commercialization with
the KL MRT.
To ensure that the MRT passengers and the users of the station
are having a pleasant journey, the following facilities and
amenities are setup for the conveniences and enjoyment of the
public:
• Customer Service Counter
• Ticket Vending Machine
• Interchange station to other lines
• Taxi stand and Bus stop
• Beverages Vending Machine
• Public Car Park on selective stations
• Prayer Room (Surau)
• Retail, food and beverages kiosk are located at selective
stations.
• Pay Phones, Auto Teller Machines (ATM)
• Public Toilets
• Escalator
• Lift
• Covered walkways
Stations either have island platforms or side platforms. Part
of the platform at the front of the train is cordoned off for
the use of women, children, elderly and disabled passengers.
At side-platform stations passengers may need to enter the
concourse area to enter the other platform or go through
bridges atop some stations, while passengers can easily switch
sides at stations with island platforms. Stations have toilets
at the concourse level.
Most stations are barrier-free inside and outside the station,
and trains have spaces for passengers using wheelchairs.
Infopanels as well as on Newsline TVs onboard trains display
important messages such as next station announcements as well
as operational messages.
