Lines Integration
The began operation of Phase I MRT Putrajaya
Line on 16 June 2022 will not only significantly increase the current
inadequate rail network but will also serve to integrate the existing rail
networks and expectantly alleviate the severe traffic congestion in the
Greater KL metropolitan area.
To recap, the MRT Kajang Line, there are 7
interchange stations to integrated into existing rail networks. The
interchange stations are Sungai Buloh Station integrated with KTM Komuter,
Muzium Station is integrated with RapidKL LRT (Kelana Jaya Line), KLIA
Express, KLIA Transit, KTM Intercity and KTM Komuter. Bukit Bintang Station
is integrated with KL Monorail.
The Pasar Seni Station is integrated with RapidKL LRT (Kelana Jaya Line).
The Merdeka Station and Maluri Station is integrated with RapidKL LRT (Ampang
Line) and the Kajang Station is interchange with KTM Komuter.
As planned, MRT Putrajaya Line will have 10
interchange stations and connecting stations.
Phase I of the Putrajaya Line from Damansara Damai to Kampung Batu
has completed and began operations on 16 June 2022. Phase II started
operation on 16 March 2023 from Kentonmen to Putrajaya Sentral.
